Pennywise is a fantastic property for off-roading in Louden, NH, and it's available exclusively to our club. We're prepping for a long weekend on Memorial Day and a season of wheeling.
A few specific projects need to be done:
1. Cut a tree in the yard at the cabin
2. Complete tree cutting jobs to open up the Extra Crispy Loop off of Colonel Sanders trail.
3. Remove a widow maker over the trail.
4. Remove a tree blocking the Class VI road crossing the property.
5. Clear fallen trees from the top of the plateau trail called, "Get in the Choppah!"
6. Trying to use native tree materials, construct corduroy bridges and a higher bridge to cross a steeply banked stream.
Saturday, May 19, the priority is the tree in the yard and Extra Crispy. These two items are priorities that need to be taken care of ASAP.
Sunday, May 20, the priority is hopefully the bridges needed.
Both days, safety and fun rank high on the priorities, too!
We're already aware of interested people in staying over night to do both work days, so we've arranged for camping. The owners may unlock the cabin to use for bunking, depending on interest or need.
